The way of the Buddha is to know yourself;
To know yourself is to forget yourself;
To forget yourself is to be awakened by all things. Dogen - Thirteenth Century Zen Monk

Taos Mountain Sangha is offering a one day meditation/hiking retreat with renown, vipassana teacher, Eric Kolvig, in the Wild Rivers Area north of Taos.  The retreat will be on Sunday, April 18 2010 and persons interested in participating should register at the Center.  The retreat will be held in noble silence. The cost of the retreat is $25 for the day.  Participants will bring their own lunch and gear for day hiking.

We will meet at TMS at 8:00 AM sharp for departure by carpooling.  Participants interested in the retreat should be in good physical condition and capable of hiking steep terrain, although we will hike slowly.  Several sitting periods will be held along the trail, together with discussions, and possible sharing circle during the course of the day.  We should arrive back at TMS at about 4 PM.  Should the weather not be good for hiking, we will hold the retreat at TMS.

The retreat is limited to 18 people and registration is on a first come, first served basis. Registration will begin about mid-March at the Center.  All participants will be expected to sign a release form prior to the retreat.  Scholarships are available and no one is turned away for lack of funds.  For further information, please contact Bob Parker at: 575-751-1963 or email: rpa@newmex.com
